MSBSRC Summer Social & Family Day with Boykins
WYNFIELD PLANTATION – Albany, GA


Please come join the membership of the Midsouth Boykin Spaniel Retriever Club for a day of food, fun, and socialization with all of the Browns. The social event will be hosted by Wynfield Plantation, the Orvis 2005 Wingshooting Lodge of the Year. The social will begin at 10:00 am EST on Saturday, June 29th. The event will consist of:
  • Professional trainer, John Beamon will conduct a 2 hour “Train the Trainer” demonstration with a focus on Upland work.
  • Professional trainer, Marc Patton will conduct a 2 hour “Train the Trainer” demonstration with a focus on water retrieving work.
  • A Duck/Quail Dog Shootout
  • Fastest Dog Competition
  • Hotdog Retrieving Contest
  • Lunch Catered by Wynfield ($10 per person)
  • Loads of fun & laughs with your Boykin friends and with the new ones that you will meet.

The social will end around 3:00 or 4:00 PM. Please feel free to bring your favorite shotgun and shells to shoot Wynfield Plantation’s Sporting Clays Course or Trap Range prior to that morning or even on Friday afternoon or following the event. You may also want to use your own gun if you plan to participate in the Duck Dog Shootout.

As a special treat, the kids are all welcome to fish with their parents at the pond located behind the lodge at Wynfield on Friday and on Saturday at no charge. Kids, tell your mom and dad to load up the fishing gear and a cooler to take fish home in!

Lodging is available on a limited basis in the cabins that Wynfield has on-site. If you wish to reserve a cabin room, please contact Brian Espy for information at bespy@elmore.rr.com or at (334) 467-4416. Also, dinner is available on Friday and will be served at 6:30 EDT – everyone is welcome to come out and have dinner and also socialize before and after dinner. Please do not call Wynfield to make your reservations.

Other than lunch, there is no cost for this event for members. The non-member fee is $25 per family plus lunch. To sign up, please send your name, number of lunch reservations and a check made out to the “MSBSRC” to the following address:
